Above average temperatures, and the potential for active conditions are ahead for your Friday, and 4th of July weekend forecast. Scattered showers have continued to progress through the region overnight, following some thunderstorm activity on Thursday evening. More showers will be possible over the next few days, with the best chance for thunderstorms resting in the mountains. Temperatures have dipped into the mid 70's to low 80's in the valley overnight, and into the mid 60's to mid 70's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the high 90's to low triple digits in the valley, and into the high 80's to low triple digits in the mountains. Winds will be out of the South to 10mph in the valley, and out of the West to 10mph in the mountains.
The potential for more active weather will continue through your 4th of July weekend, with the best chance resting in the mountains. Temperatures won't change much through Sunday, but much cooler conditions will be ahead towards the middle of next week. Sunny skies will return for the start of next week, and valley high temperatures will fall into the low to mid 90's by Wednesday. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
