Wet weather has returned to the north state for your Monday forecast! The best potential for showers will continue to be in areas closest to the Oregon border. Both showers and thunderstorm activity have already been observed in Redding, where over a tenth of an inch of rain has already been recorded. Temperatures dipped into the mid to high 40's across most of the region, but he Cascade range dipped into the low to mid 30's. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the mid 60's for the valley/foothills, and into the mid 50's to low 60's in the mountains. Winds are expected to be light throughout the day.
Partly cloudy skies, and dry weather will be ahead for Tuesday and Wednesday. The next chance for showers will arrive on Thursday, and extend through the weekend. That system looks to have more widespread impacts across the region. Snow levels will be high, and are projected to be at or above pass levels. I hope everyone is enjoying the return on wet weather in your forecast, and has a marvelous Monday!
