Hotter temperatures, and the continuing potential for showers/thunderstorms are ahead for your Friday forecast. Temperatures are starting out extremely warm in the valley, with most areas in the low 60's to low 70's. Mountain areas have dipped into the mid to high 40's overnight. High temperatures are expected to climb into the low to mid 90's in the valley this afternoon, and into the high 70's to high 80's in the mountains. There will be the potential for showers and thunderstorms across the region today, with the best chance continuing to rest in the higher elevations. Thunderstorms could develop in the mountains as early as 10am, with the potential for active weather returning to the valley later on this afternoon. Winds will be out of the North up to around 15mph, with gusts up to around 25mph.
Temperatures will be around the same on Saturday, but a big warm up in ahead for Sunday. Valley locations will be climbing into the mid to high 90's over the next several days, with the possibility of the first triple digit heat of the year on the way. The chance for active weather will continue in the mountains, with a chance of activity in the valley next week. I hope everyone finds a good way to beat the heat over the next several days, stays safe in the active weather, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend.
