Hot temperatures, and mostly sunny skies are ahead for the start of your work week, but some very welcome changes are on the way. Valley locations are starting out in the mid 60's to mid 70's, and mountain areas have dipped into the mid 50's to mid 60's overnight. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to climb into the 93 to 101 degree range for the valley this afternoon, and into the mid 80's to mid 90's in the mountains. Clouds will increase this afternoon, and there will be a slight chance for showers/thunderstorms in the mountains this evening. Winds are projected to be up to 10mph out of the South.
Temperatures are expected to drop towards the middle of the week, and are only projected to climb into the 82 to 86 degree range on Thursday. Active weather looks very possible from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday night. The best potential for the activity will rest in the mountains, but there will also be a decent chance for active weather in the valley during the same time. Conditions will dry out, and heat back up for the upcoming weekend. Valley locations will return to the mid to high 90's by Sunday. I hope everyone is ready for some cooler, and active weather to arrive in the region, and has a marvelous Monday!
