Active weather conditions, and cooler temperatures are returning to the north state in your Monday forecast. Temperatures are starting off in the high 60's for the valley, and are only expected to climb into the mid 80's to low 90's this afternoon. Mountain areas are starting off the day in the mid 50's to low 60's, and will climb into the low to mid 80's for the Northern Sierra, and into the mid 80's to low 90's for the Northern Mountains.
Showers, and thunderstorms are very possible in your Monday forecast. The Northern Sierra will have the best potential for thunderstorms accompanying those showers, but there will be a decent chance for active weather across the entire region. The moisture returning to the region is being drawn in by a trough of low pressure heading up from the South. The threat of those active conditions will remain in the north state through Tuesday night.
Temperatures will continue to dip on Tuesday, the valley will only see high temperatures in the high 70's to mid 80's. Hotter temperatures, and mostly sunny skies return on Wednesday, and will continue into your weekend forecast. I hope everyone stays safe, and has a marvelous Monday!
