The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is warning Happy Valley residents about a string of acid bombs that have been found in mail boxes over the last two nights.

The acid bombs have caused damage and can be dangerous to anyone in the area due to the spread of acid.

An acid bomb is a plastic bottle filled with an acid and a reacting base. Acid bombers make use of the same type of chemical reaction that causes vinegar and baking soda to bubble up when you mix them together.
