Aaron Maready has announced that he will no longer pursue the position of Shasta County Sheriff, citing his campaigns failure to generate sufficient support to continue into the spring.
Maready’s withdrawal means that Sheriff Tom Bosenko will be running unopposed. In a press release Boskenko said: “I am pleased with the fact that it appears I no longer have an opponent, and I wish Mr. Maready well in his future endeavors. Despite having no announced opponent there is significant value in continuing with many of my own campaign activities. I have always been a very community-minded Sheriff and I am proud of my records of continuous direct interaction with the residents of our County.”
Sheriff Bosenko has more than 35 years of experience with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office and was first elected Sheriff in 2006.
