Sunny and WARM on this day before Halloween! We'll enjoy great Trick-or-Treating weather Saturday, then big changes arrive Sunday.
October heat around in the Valley today, with highs well into the 80's! It'll cool a little tomorrow, but Valley highs will still be near 80. So if Saturday is the treat, Sunday must be the trick. A cool storm from the north Pacific will arrive Sunday, cooling us down and bringing a few showers Sunday afternoon... but not much. As cold low pressure rotates over us Sunday night & Monday, the wet weather should pick up a bit. This low will be unstable, so there is a chance of a Valley thunderstorm Monday afternoon. Snow levels will start near 8000' Sunday but drop to near 5000' Monday morning as cold air pours into northern California. Rain totals in the Valley look to be near 1/3" from this storm... not too much.
We should dry up Tuesday, but temperatures won't warm back up much. Valley highs will stay in the upper 60's for most of next week, with a few nights dipping into the 30's! Obviously, the mountains will be colder. November will start much cooler!
Don't forget: Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday morning... Fall Back! We get an extra hour of sleep!
