A String of Collisions in Chico Leaves Two Drivers in The Hopspital

Two people are hospitalized after Chico police say a man in a truck ran into several cars and kept going. Investigators say it started around two Sunday afternoon when the driver hit a car on First Avenue and Mangrove then sped away. According to C.H.P. officers, he then hit another car at Third Avenue pushing it 100 feet down Mangrove Avenue. He sped off again going 60 hitting a black Honda at Cohasset Road and Mangrove pushing it 100 feet up the over pass and crushing the entire hood. A red Kia sedan was hit while the truck was pushing the Honda causing the truck to flip down the side of the over pass taking out a small tree. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The female driving the Honda was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Everyone else involved walked away with only a few scratches. They are looking into whether alcohol is involved. The accident is still under investigation.
