A weak storm will move through the North State overnight, bringing us much needed rain. It's not a huge storm, so rain amounts will vary from 1/10" to 1/4" of rain for the Valley (with higher totals in the mountains, of course). It's also a fairly mild storm, moving into a mild airmass, so snow levels will stay high... Around 6000'.
It's also a pretty quick moving storm. Look for the rain to end early Thursday morning in the Valley, but lingering a bit longer in the mountains. The Sacramento Valley may even see some sunshine by Thursday afternoon.
Weak high pressure will return after that, bringing us a mix of sun and clouds with dry weather through the weekend. A new storm looks to head our way by the middle of next week, but it's not looking very strong, either.
