High pressure continues to keep it hot around the North State, and that won't change Thursday... look for another hot day. An approaching trough of low pressure will move into the Pacific Northwest this weekend, and weaken high pressure enough to cool us down some, especially Saturday. Sunday and Monday will see near average temperatures for this time of year.
Marie has weakened to a tropical storm now, and continues to slowly churn northward. The approaching trough will grab some of the remnant moisture from Marie and bring it into the North State both Friday and Saturday, giving us some high cloud cover then.
