The 12th annual “Country Supper” fundraiser for the Chico Museum is scheduled for Sunday evening, June 1st at the Historic Patrick Ranch. This year’s theme is “A Country Picnic at the Ranch.”
The event includes a BBQ dinner complete with Shuberts ice cream, music provided by “Jazzuppa” and a silent auction featuring a dozen very unique baskets of gifts. There will also be children’s activities. Action News Now Anchorwoman Linda Watkins-Bennett will emcee the program for the night.
The Chico museum is volunteer based and relies completely on community donations. It’s located in the former Chico Library, a Carnegie library building, in downtown Chico.
Right now the Museum Steering Committee is working with the local Mechoopda Indian Tribe on an exhibit featuring the history of the Mechoopda … from their perspective.
The “Country Supper” will take place June 1st from 4 – 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 for Adults and $10 for Children 12 and under. For more information call (530) 891-4336 or visit www.chicomuseum.org.
