A Chance Of Showers Returns In Your Extended Forecast

Patchy fog has developed across the region this morning, but the foggy conditions will give way to fluctuating clouds for the remainder of your Thursday forecast. Temperatures are starting out in the high 30's for the valley, mid 20's to low 30's in the Sierra, mid 30's in the Northern Mountains, and low 40's in the Foothills. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the high 50's for the valley, while mountain areas will end up in the mid 40's to mid 50's later today.

Valley locations will have partly cloudy skies ahead for the brunt of your Thursday forecast, and mountain areas will be mostly cloudy throughout the day. There will be a slight chance for some showers in the Northern Mountains, where the snow level will remain at around 6000 feet. Today's winds are expected to be light.

There will be a chance for wet weather on Friday, and Sunday. The best potential for precipitation will be in the northern zones. Very promising conditions are in store from Shasta County to the North, with a lower chance of precipitation to the South. Clearing skies, and much warmer temperatures will arrive next week. Valley locations will climb back into the mid to high 60's by Monday. I hope everyone stays safe driving in the foggy conditions this morning, and has a great Thursday!
