Clouds moved into the North State today, and along with an increased Delta Breeze, our temperatures cooled down nicely! Only Red Bluff, Hayfork & Weaverville had triple digit highs on Tuesday, one day after most of the Valley roasted in 107 to 111 heat. The mountains saw a few isolated light showers, but most of the activity stayed south of Lake Tahoe.
The monsoon moisture will remain in place on Wednesday, and a few isolated mountain showers or thunderstorms are possible. Temperatures in the Valley shouldn't change much... if at all. High pressure will continue to weaken, so even as the sun returns later this week, the triple digits won't! Not until next week at the earliest, at least. These temperatures are near average for July.
