Yet another hot one around the North State on Thursday. Valley highs reached the upper 90's, while Redding & Red Bluff hit 100... but we'll cool it down a bit over the upcoming holiday weekend. A trough of low pressure from the north Pacific will swing into the Pacific Northwest, and weaken high pressure over the west coast, which will cool us down this weekend.
The remnants of Marie continue to churn northward, and a little bit will get pulled into the North State both Friday and Saturday by that trough to our north. That will give us a few high clouds... just enough to make for a beautiful sunset Friday night.
