Roads are back open this morning for all commuters in Siskiyou County after a big rig rollover.
The truck driver, hauling Gatorade, was northbound on I-5 north of Yreka when the truck rolled just after midnight colliding with five unoccupied vehicles at the collier road off-ramp spilling Gatorade all over the road.
The crash happened near an active construction site and the cars belonged to the construction workers, who happened to be outside of their cars at the time of the crash and were unscathed.
The driver was injured, although we don't know to what extent. He was taken to a local hospital.
The freeway was shut down at Montague Road and traffic was temporarily diverted onto state route 263 to state route 96 and back onto I-5.
Roads re-opened just before four this morning and the big rig was towed away soon after.
CHP is now investigating the accident.
