This is the 90th annual red bluff round up.. and crowds are expected to reach up to 25-thousand people over the weekend.. There are more than 500 contestants this weekend participating in seven different vents.. including everything from bullriding and barrel racing to 'tie-down' roping.
Organizers say it's definitely a family event.. Red Bluff Round Up President Dave Ramelli says, "It's our 90th year. We have great crowds also the best contestants here. We have 510 of the best in the world entered here. We're also apart of the 6.9 million dollar wrangler tour. So it's just a great show this year."
People travelled far and wide to come to this rodeo.. Some cowboys and cowgirls travelled all the way from Canada to the North.. and Mexico to the South. The city of Red Bluff benefits from the four day event in a big way.. The event generates about three million dollars for the city over the course of the event.
The rodeo has already wrapped up for the night.. The good news is.. it starts up again tomorrow at 1:30 and runs to about 4:30 in the afternoon.
