7 arrested in Butte County drug raid

Seven people were arrested Wednesday for reportedly running an illegal marijuana grow in Oroville.

The Butte County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Unit issued a search warrant Wednesday on Wyandotte Road and found 89 growing plants, a number of marijuana plants being processed and dried, and around 100 large tubs containing processed marijuana.

The marijuana weighed in at close to 1400 pounds and officials say they also found more than $160,000.The seven suspects located on scene were arrested and transported to the Butte County Jail. Those arrested were:

Bart Albert Clanton, 59, of Santa Cruz Ca. charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession for sale of marijuana, and maintaining a place for the purpose of storage or sales of marijuana. Bail is $150,000.

Gerald Dean Mize, 48, of Arkansas, charged with cultivation of marijuana and manufacturing of a controlled substance. Bail $150,000.

Diana Christine D'Angelo, 21, of San Jose California. Seneca Paul Norberg, 21, of San Jose California. Antonio Dejesus Mendoza, 26, of San Jose California. Hai Thanh Tran, 42, of San Jose California. Tina Marie Helfer, 45, of Minnesota. All of the suspects were charged with cultivation of marijuana with bail set at $50,000.00
