Eight people have been arrested and more than 60,000 marijuana destroyed in Trinity County this month.
According to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, a total of 60,191 marijuana plants were eradicated, one stolen firearm was recovered, over two tons of fertilizer and two tons of trash were removed from numerous sites in the month of July.
Seven of the eight arrested are Mexican nationals and one is a US Citizen.
Authorities have brought in biologists to document the environmental damage caused by each grow.
