Durham American Legion Post 673 is hosting it's 58th Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner on Saturday, March 14th, from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. It takes place at the Durham Veteran's Memorial Hall on the Midway, and is both dine-in and take-out.
This is the first time in 58 years the dinner has not been held on St. Patrick's Day but due to the large amount of work involved in putting on the event and time issues, it was decided that Saturday would be a better day.
The benefit helps the Durham American Legion contribute to the community and to help veterans. It offeres scholarships to high school students for Boy's State every year, and the group also runs a medical equipment closet for anyone in need.
The dinner is all you can eat, with beverages and dessert, and there will also be a Military Vehicle Display outside.
Tickets are $20 for Adults, $10 Children 5 - 12 and children under five are free. For more information call (530) 864-5113.
