4 USC Students injured after being struck by car near campus

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say a car has struck and injured four USC students near a campus gate, one of them critically.

Police tell City News Service that around noon Thursday, a sedan driver had some kind of medical emergency at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and McClintock Avenue. The car hit the University of Southern California students, crashed into a light pole and stopped on the sidewalk.

A 24-year-old woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The other three students were treated at the scene.

The 23-year-old driver also was taken to a hospital but there's no word on her condition.
