Four people have pleaded Guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter charges for the death of a Glenn County man in Willows.

Glenn County District Attorney Robert Stewart says Jaime Barbeiro, Joshua Holden, Jorge Zarate Altamirano and Consuelo Pureco are scheduled to be sentenced for the crime on July 8th.

Stewart says that Holden and Altamirana assaulted 41 year old Robert Stewart at a home on North Butte Street in the early morning hours of February 13th. They were accompanied by Pureco, and were there at the request of Jaime Barbeiro to confront Stewart and "teach him a lesson".

Pureco stabbed Stewart in the leg, severing an artery. The victim managed to walk away from the scene but lost consciousness and died of blood loss.

D.A. Stewart said that while the death may not have been intended, it was the direct result of the suspects' actions.
