Four people were arrested in the City of Shasta Lake Sunday after a brawl broke out at the Claire Engle Park.
Shasta County deputies were called to the area around 8:30 p.m. and pulled over a black Toyota Tacoma as it was leaving the scene.
Scott Preston Williams, 21, of Lacy, Washington, Kevin Centers, 23, of Redding, David Lambert, 23, of Shasta Lake City, Christina Mitchell, 25, of Redding, and Nicole Gasper, 23, of Redding were in the truck and deputies learned they had been involved in the fight.
While those suspects were being identified and questioned, other deputies contacted several people in the park, including 22-year-old Andrew Ross, who was being loaded into an ambulance with severe head trauma.
After questioning the involved parties, deputies learned everyone had arrived at the park to talk about how Ross and his ex-girlfriend needed to stay away from each other. The physical fight broke out moments after everyone arrived.
Ross, and a Redding woman, who was hit over the head with a skateboard several times, were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Williams, Centers, Lambert and Mitchell were booked into the Shasta County Jail on suspicion of battery with serious injury, and assault with a deadly weapon.
