The 35th annual Butte County Sheriff's Posse Antique Show continued today at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds Saturday.
This is the Sheriff's Posse's biggest fundraiser of the year and it saw vendors from across the country bring various collectibles to the North State.
The Sheriff's Posse is involved in local search and rescue missions and help with security for local activities. Those involved say Butte County would be in bad shape without them.
“People would really miss us if we weren't around,” said Cpt. Jim Nuzzo of the Butte County Sheriff's Posse. “The amount of money we saved the county by the facility we manage, and we actually own, the county would spend millions to try to rebuild what we have if we didn't exist.”
Local appraiser John Humphries will be doing evaluations at the antique show's closing day tomorrow.
