3 teens arrested in Red Bluff stabbing

Police have arrested three suspected gang members who allegedly stabbed two Red Bluff teens as they were sitting in a parked vehicle Saturday night.

The suspects Jesse Ramirez, 18, Eric Castillo, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested Monday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and participating in street gang activity.

The teenage victims both suffered injuries when they were attacked by the suspects late Saturday night on Scottsdale Way. One of the teens suffered minor injuries to his hands and lower back and was treated and released. The other victim, suffered serious injuries to his head.

While at the scene investigators were able to determine that several Hispanic individuals approached the vehicle and broke out the windows with baseball bats, they then proceeded to slash at the victims with knives. Police are still searching for a suspect in addition to Ramirez, Castillo and the juvenile they took into custody.
