LOS ANGELES (AP) - Sheriff's divers continue searching the water just outside Los Angeles Harbor as part of an ongoing recovery effort following Friday's mid-air collision of two small planes.
Department officials said Sunday that the three people on board remain missing. No debris has been found since some wreckage and a pilot's logbook were recovered shortly after the crash.
The Coast Guard suspended the active search for survivors Saturday.
Authorities have not released any identities, saying only that a plane piloted by a 72-year-old woman was seen on radar colliding with a craft carrying men ages 61 and 81.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane carrying the men was a Beech 35 Bonanza and the second was a Citabria.
