SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) - Northern California police say they have arrested three men in the case of a woman who reported being randomly abducted, sexually abused and held captive for months.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says investigators believe Jose Angel Barajas-Mireles of Santa Rosa masterminded the kidnapping of the 22-year-old woman.

The office says the 34-year-old man is responsible for the sexual abuse and most of the physical assaults. He has been charged with aggravated sodomy, aggravated oral copulation, and aggravated rape. His bail was set at $6 million dollars.

The office says Jaime Gomez Cisneros of Watsonville and Guillermo Crestino Avina of Santa Rosa were responsible for guarding the victim and preventing her from leaving the compound.

Detectives say the woman had been held against her will since the holidays.
