SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Authorities say three people were injured after a dump truck hit cars and overturned on a San Francisco freeway.

Authorities say the truck is blocking all lanes of southbound US 101 at Silver Avenue.

KRON reports Tuesday that the driver has not yet been located. It was not immediately clear if the driver was one of the injured and taken to a hospital.

The recycling dump truck rammed the cars before hitting the railing and spilling its load of wood and drywall below the freeway Tuesday morning.

The driver may have lost control of the brakes. All southbound traffic is stopped and cars are being diverted onto I-280.

Crews are working to clean up the debris and open a lane as soon as possible. There is no estimated time for the lanes to reopen.
