CAMP EDWARDS, Mass. (AP) - Military officials in Massachusetts say they don't believe that three Afghan soldiers who've been missing from a base in Cape Cod are a threat to the public.

The men were taking part in an annual training exercise that involves several countries. Military officials say the three, who were reported missing Saturday night, were last seen at a mall in Hyannis. They had arrived at the base on Sept. 11.

The Regional Cooperation training exercises have been held each year since 2004 and involve six different nations including the U.S.
