3,000 pounds of marijuana seized in Shasta County raid

Shasta County authorities seized more than 3,000 pounds of marijuana and cited five people after raiding two properties in Bella Vista Tuesday.

According to a news release from the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, Agents with the Shasta County Sheriff's Office Marijuana Investigative Team with assistance from Agents with the Shasta Interagency Narcotic Task Force, California Department of Fish and Wildlife Marijuana Enforcement Team and California Fish and Wildlife Wetlands Enforcement Team served search warrants the 11000 block of Deschutes Rd and in the 22000 block of Gaspers Rd.

During the search, authorities found more than 3,000 pounds of semi processed marijuana and more than 110 pounds of processed marijuana. 143 growing plants were also found.

Investigators determined 54-year-old Bella Vista resident Larry Gasper was in charge of the operation. Gasper was cited, but released due to medical conditions. Four people at the scene; Stephen Danley, Crystal Forest, Noah Ambler and John Robinson, admitted to working for Gasper. They were all cited and released.
