25 year sentence for man convicted of killing friend

A military veteran convicted of murdering his friend in June of 2013 was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison today in a Tehama County Court.

40-year-old Christopher Houghland was found guilty of stabbing his friend, 28-year-old Samuel Forseth to death outside a Red Bluff home.

Prosecutors said Forseth was found bleeding on the front porch of a home on the 200 block of Pinon Way, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
