A handful of law enforcement agencies raided a massive marijuana garden in Plumas County and found more than 23,000 pot plants.
Members of the Plumas County Sheriff’s SWAT team, the U.S. Forest Service and Department of Fish and Wildlife raided gardens near the Red Bridge off of LaPorte Road in Quincy and Fish Creek, south of Eureka Ridge last week.
Officers recovered approximately 23,000 plants from two gardens.
In addition to the pot plants, agents found large amounts of trash, fertilizer, chemicals and pesticides.
Agencies say the characteristics of the gardens were consistent with the operations of Mexican Drug Cartels.
No suspects were found, but the investigation is ongoing.
