The 21st Annual Salmon Festival returns to Oroville Friday and Saturday, September 25th and 26th.
The festivities kick off Friday night with a BBQ Dinner and Fundraiser for the Feather River Nature Center and Native Plant Park. The salmon and tri-tip dinner will take place on the levee along the Feather River at Oliver & Arlin Rhine Memorial Drive. A no host bar opens at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 7 p.m. and dancing at 8 p.m. Dinner music will be provided by Daver Houser and the Crawlers, with dancing to the Charlie Robinson Trio. Tickets are $25 for Adults and $12 for children. Advance tickets only available through the Oroville Chamber of Commerce and online at www.salmonfestoroville.org (530) 538-2542.
Saturday the Oroville Fish Hatchery opens for free tours beginning at 9 a.m. The Oroville Hospital 3k Salmon Color Dash starts at 9:30 a.m., and at 10 a.m. the rest of the activities get underway ... including a Pancake Breakfast, Street Faire, Food Vendors, Live Music and Entertainment, and Crafts Vendors. The Street Fair also includes a Kids Zone.
And you want to make sure to visit Salmon Court on the Levee for Gourmet Salmon dishes, a beer and wine garden, entertainment, and art exhibits.
The events on Saturday are free, with free parking and free shuttles that run from Riverbend Park on Hwy 70 and from the County Buildings at At Grand Avenue and Table Mtn. Boulevard.
