2 Tons of Food Collected for Victims of Domestic Violence

October is domestic violence awareness month, and a big campaign to support victims of abuse wrapped up today. United Healthcare teamed up with Catalyst Domestic Violence Services for the fourth year in a row for their annual food drive. United employees were broken up into teams to collect items all month long. A truck was loaded up this morning with more than two tons of food to be distributed to domestic violence victims. Last year, the event took in about 2,000 lbs. of food. So the organizations were able to double their efforts this time around.
