SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Two men have been sentenced for their role in a botched jewelry store heist in Orange County that left two robbers dead.
City News Service says Alan Keith Hunter and James Paschall each got 30 years to life on Friday.
Authorities say Hunter was a lookout and Paschall was a getaway car driver during the 2011 robbery at Monaco Jewelers in San Juan Capistrano.
Authorities say several robbers entered the store, and one pulled a gun but the owner and manager opened fire, killing two attackers.
Hunter and Paschall were convicted of first-degree murder under California law because they took part in a crime that prompted the killings.
Three other defendants are awaiting sentencing under previous plea deals.
