2 people killed in Sutter County motorcycle crash

Two people are dead after a crash involving three vehicles and a motorcycle on Highway 99 in Sutter County Wednesday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was traveling north on Highway 99, near Howsley Road, around 9:30 p.m. when it veered into another lane and was struck by two vehicles, one of which flipped over.

The motorcyclist and motorcycle passenger were killed in the crash.

Two other people were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Highway 99 was closed for over two hours.
