Two people were arrested for allegedly trying to rob the Rabobank at 627 Pearson Rd. in Paradise on Thursday April 17.
A man entered the bank around 10:50 a.m. and allegedly approached a teller with a note demanding money. The teller informed the suspect she had no money and the man left. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect flee in a red car, similar to a newer model ford.
Paradise Police Officers followed tips that identified Henry Leroy Harmon as a suspect, and they pulled him over in a 2014 Ford Fiesta entering a campground on Jordan Hill Road in Magalia Monday afternoon. Evidence in the vehicle, evidence at the campground, and further investigation led to the determination that Harmon conspired with another subject to commit the robbery at Rabobank.
Harmon was arrested for attempted robbery and booked into Butte County Jail, his bail was set at $50,000.
Further investigation led Police to determine that Harmon’s daughter Corrina Harmon was a conspirator and acted as the getaway driver.
Corrina Harmon was arrested on Monday night and booked into Butte County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
Paradise Police said they have no evidence to believe Harmon is the “man bag bandit”, the man the FBI has connected to bank robberies in Yuba City, and Chico.
