2 dogs killed in Oroville fire

Two dogs were killed in a travel trailer fire on Pacific Heights Road in Oroville this afternoon.

Butte County Cal Fire crews were dispatched around 1:30 p.m. to what was originally believed to be a vehicle fire on the 4000 block of Pacific Heights Road.

When fire fighters arrived they found a travel trailer with an added room fully involved. The residents were not home, but two dogs perished in the fire. Fire crews were able to save one dog.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
