2 boys stabbed in brawl outside school in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Police say two teenage boys were stabbed after a fight broke out among some two dozen people outside a school in Santa Ana.

Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says the brawl broke out around 3 p.m. outside Community Day Intermediate/High School.

Bertagna says two dozen people were involved and two boys were stabbed.

He says a 14-year-old is in serious condition and a 17-year-old's condition was described only as stable.

Bertagna says three teens who fled into a nearby neighborhood were detained as were another nine who were held at the scene.

It was not immediately clear what prompted the fight.
