2 accused of plotting church attacks due in court

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Two men U.S. federal authorities say were plotting to attack synagogues and black churches are expected to appear in a courtroom in Virginia today for a preliminary hearing.

Robert Doyle and Ronald Beasley Chaney III are accused of trying to buy weapons to carry out the attacks.

They're charged with conspiracy to possess firearms after being convicted of felonies.
