The Prom Project is a collaborative effort by the HEART, the African American Family Cultural Center, Paradise Ridge Family Resource Center, Youth for Change programs, Boy and Girls Club of Oroville, Stonewall Alliance and other community agencies.
Last year the Prom Project helped over 150 youth in Butte County enjoy their prom night, not only by providing free attire and raffle prizes which included gift cards to local restaurants, hair and nail salons, and florists!
Representatives from community agencies will have tables at the event to answer questions and deliver important information regarding drug and alcohol awareness, healthy relationships and safe sex practices.
The 13th annual Prom Project will be held on Saturday April 16th, 2016 from 10am to 3pm at 2959 Lower Wyandotte Rd, Oroville, CA at the Oroville Boys and Girls Club.
Prom Project receives donations from the community that help make prom more affordable by offering resources to teens. Including donations of:
· New and gently used dresses
· Suits, tuxedos and tuxedo rentals (Men's formal clothing is especially needed.)
· Men's and women's dress shoes
· Accessories including jewelry, purses, hair accessories, nylons, etc.
· Monetary donations.
A receipt will be given for tax deduction purposes.
