SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — A man who barricaded himself inside a San Jose home for more than 11 hours has been taken into custody.

Police Sgt. Heather Randol tells the San Jose Mercury News (http://bit.ly/1bjghJt) the standoff with the unidentified man ended early Monday morning.

It began the previous evening after someone called 911 to report that a man with a felony warrant out for his arrest was at the home.

Police say the suspect refused to leave. Officers evacuated neighboring homes and called in a SWAT team, as they tried to persuade him to surrender.
