Two people suffer major injuries in crash south of Chico

        Two people suffered major injuries in a crash near a busy interchange south of Chico around 3:00 today. The accident caused traffic to back up for miles this afternoon. The Oroville C.H.P. says two vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 149 near the Highway 99 transition, when the driver of a black Jetta made an unsafe lane change causing it to clip a green Chevy.
        The driver of the Chevy lost control and drove onto the embankment causing it to roll over twice. The driver of the chevy was air lifted to Enloe Medical Center, and the passenger went to the hospital in an ambulance. The Jetta driver was not injured. The accident is still under investigation.
