After all evacuation orders were lifted 6 p.m. last night, Cal Fire continued to increase their stranglehold on the fire and halted its increase in acreage.
Although Cal Fire indicated early yesterday evening they may pull non-local resources from the fire, the number of personnel remained at 1,484 overnight due to the pending threat of thunderstorms. Cal Fire stated this morning they plan on strengthening existing containment lines and mopping up hot spots. Although all evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted, a Red Flag Warning remains in effect as dry lightning storms are expected to hover over the region well into Wednesday evening.
The expected containment date is August 22.
