Butte County Sheriff's Deputies have been at the Berry Creek Rancheria office behind Gold Country Casino in Oroville since about one o'clock this morning. More than a dozen deputies are there. Investigators say some people have locked themselves inside the office, and it's apparently a dispute between several families in the Tyme Maidu tribe. Reporter Matt Vaughan is on the scene and we will bring you the latest information as soon as we get it.

(UPDATE)- The standoff between several families of the Tyme Maidu tribe and reservations officials as well as Butte County Sheriffs has ended peacefully for the most part. One "flash-bang" grenade was used to coax the protestors out, but no injuries were reported and around 20 protestors left the building and their own accord without incident. The protestors are being detained by the Butte County Sheriff deputies at the scene but are awaiting federal officials to arrive. No specific charges have been levied yet. We will continue to bring you the latest on this story.
