According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, deputies with the Special Enforcement Unit served two search warrants in connection with the illegal cultivation of marijuana this week. The first search warrant was served in the 460 block of Chinese Wall Road, Oroville. Michael Tran, 29, of El Cajon and Damien Grall, 39, of Orange were arrested. Investigators say a search of the property revealed a large scale marijuana operation. They say they also uncovered a butane honey oil lab. Tran and Grall were arrested and will be charged with cultivation of marijuana and possession. Tran has a bail of $115,000, and Grall has a bail of $1 million dollars.
Another search warrant was issued for a property at Galen Ridge Road, Berry Creek. Deputies arrested Jody Cook, 43, of Fortuna, and Angelia Davey, 42, of Fortuna. Investigators say they confiscated 241 marijuana plants. Both Cook and Davey were arrested for the cultivation and possession for sale of marijuana. Bail is set at $1 million dollars each.
