Every year the Chico State women's cross country program dominates the competition.

Part of what makes them so good is the quality of runners they recruit and just recently, they got another one to commit.

Former West Valley high stand-out Hannah Dorman has accepted a partial scholarship to run for the Wildcats.

Dorman was arguably the northern section's most talented distance athlete.

This past season, she the section's fastest 1,600 meters while winning the West Valley Invitational.

She also won the Northern Section 3,200-meter title, and will run both cross country and track for the Cats.

"She's got a great attitude, she's very positive and hard-working. I feel like when we're able to bring in a local kid that's obviously talented and has those qualities, it should be a really good fit," said Chico State Cross Country coach Gary Towne.

"I like the town a lot, I think it's really really cute and the team is amazing too, so I'm excited to be on a team that will make me better and a team that's so close and also I'll be able to visit my family and my friends as well," said Dorman.
