For most division two basketball players, once their senior season concludes, hoop is over forever. But every now and then, for a few, like former Chico State big man Jason Conrad, there are alternatives.
The recently graduated Wildcat signed a two-year contract with ZZ Leiden of the Dutch Basketball League. Conrad, who ranks 3rd in Chico State history with 84 blocked shots, said he will leave on Aug. 29th and the team's season tips off in October.
The 7-footer said he's been putting in a ton of work since his time at Chico State came to an end and he's thankful for the opporutnity to continue his career overseas.
"I've been working my butt off this summer, I played in the Sacramento Pro League, I played in a pro tour in China, and I played in the Los Angeles Pro League. I improved a tremendous amount so it's helped me out a whole lot as far as film and stuff to give to my agent to show these coaches and stuff, it's dream come true," said Conrad.
