Fatal Accident Brings Traffic on Hwy 32 to a Crawl

(UPDATE) 4:45 p.m.- CHP confirmed at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon the 60-year-old driver of the brown Ford Ranger has died from his injuries at Enloe Medical Center. 

Traffic on Hwy 32 remains backed up after a serious traffic accident near the Gainella Bridge near Hamilton City this afternoon. 


At approximately 1:45 p.m. this afternoon a man driving a brown Ford Ranger was traveling west towards Hamilton City when he failed to notice traffic slowing down. The driver of the Ranger slammed on his breaks and swerved into the left lane and collided with a Hamilton City Fire truck heading east, according to CHP. The 60-year-old man was flown to Enloe Medical Center with serious injuries. We will have more on this accident on Action News Now at 5 and 6 p.m.
