Champion Christian school in Chico will soon be headed to a new location.
Interim principal John Pease tells Action News today that the school will be moving from the East Avenue Community Church it rents in Chico to the Calvary Baptist Church in Paradise. The move will take place in early February.
Pease says the school has been looking to move for a long time and they're thankful for this opportunity.
"It's God's way, we've been here about 20 and a half years and it's always been kind of a temporary place that He wants us and He's opened his doors for us to go to Paradise. We've been looking and Paradise wasn't really an option when we were looking and the doors just opened real wide for us," said Pease.
41 current students will be affected, most of whom reside in Chico.
